Miss World
It’s been a really interesting past couple of months for me. To be honest, the whole pageant thing never came to mind. Teaching’s more my thing. So I guess I was as surprised as anyone when I was asked to join ; )
Everything from that point on has been a little bit of a rollercoaster. And I gotta say, it’s taken some getting used to. Photo shoots, press conferences, waxing… It’s been significantly more challenging than I thought it would be. Not to mention intimidating…
Especially the waxing.
But it’s also been a blast. Meeting the other girls, trying on clothes, experimenting with make-up. It’s really been something that’s made me look at myself in a way I hadn’t before. Oddly, meeting the competition has also given me a little more confidence as well.
And having tried on the make-up, walked a mile in heels, experimented with false eyelashes, I gotta say, maybe I can do this.
Maybe I could be the next Miss World Malaysia.
Fingers crossed...
(although I should probably wash the watercolour off first ; )
